ENE To Offer Free Ransomware Seminar Series
Logistics are still unclear but the content is taking shape
ENE Systems, Inc. announced today that it will begin offering a series of seminars focused on the emerging threat of Ransomware in the business sector. By the end of 2015 it is estimated that Ransomware caused more than $20 Million worth of damage to individual users. Those figures are projected to rise by more than 50% per year for the next 5 to 10 years in the business sector.
Security experts are warning businesses that if they don't have comprehensive offsite backups and clear and executable disaster recovery plans in place that as many as 60% will fail in the aftermath of a security breach. And according to the Ponemon Institute, the average price for small businesses to clean up after their businesses have been hacked stands at $690,000; and, for middle market companies, it’s over $1 million.
At ENE Systems, we've helped many companies recover from catastrophic data loss, but our preference is to help customers avoid such situtations entirely. With Ransomware now targeting the business sector, it must respond with nothing less than thoroughly tested, proven and reliable recovery mechanisms that store your backups offsite. This is where cloud computing can help. With a cloud backup system like Carbonite, you always know that you have (up to) a year of historical backups you could fall back on should a Ransomware attack decimate your data.
In ENE's Ransomware seminar series you will learn the anatomy of a ransomware attack, who is perpetrating them, where they originate from, the methods they use to circumvent security, and most importantly: What you can do to protect your business. Plus much more...
